HOW TO MAKE GOOD WINE
Short Course in Winemaking over 10 Weeks
The Winemaking Course is designed for people wanting to acquire professional skills in practical winemaking. A background in Science or Chemistry would be useful.
The course is practically based, with students gaining practical skills in both winemaking and wine analysis.
Ample time is available for students to ask questions, thereby gaining full benefit from each session. Guest winemakers from the Yarra Valley provide expert instruction during two sessions of the course, covering both red and white winemaking.
The Winemaking Courses are conducted over 10 weeks. We have two upcoming courses scheduled – one commencing on Thursday 11th August 2011, from 7.00 – 9.30 pm at Boronia, and the other commencing Wednesday 21st September, 2011 also from 7.oopm to 9.30pm.
Fees are $395.00 (inclusive of gst) for 10 sessions plus a practical session at a local winery. To register your interest in either of the Winemaking Courses, please enter your details in the form below.

A BASIC STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO PREMIUM WINEMAKING
First published in 1986 and revised every 2-3 years, this practical guide to Premium Winemaking was originally produced as a student’s manual to accompany the first practical Winemaking Courses to be held in Victoria and organised by the author, Graeme J. Morris.
This comprehensive guide entitled “How to Make Good Wine” is included in the cost of the course, or may be purchased separately for $44.00 (inclusive of gst).

Authors Background
Graeme’s technical qualifications include both a Diploma & Degree in Applied Chemistry . He started work originally at CUB (Carlton & United Breweries Ltd) in Melbourne, where he worked for 10 years, initially as a trainee Chemist, then Chemist in Charge of Raw Materials Analysis and finally as a Brewer at the Victoria Plant.
Graeme then worked part-time with Lou Bianchet, owner of Bianchet Winery in the Yarra Valley both in the vineyard and providing technical assistance in the winery until Lou unfortunately passed away.
Since 1989, Graeme has been in involved in the wine industry as a Senior Technical Sales consultant for Winery Supplies Pty Ltd covering all aspects of the production of wine from “the grape to the bottle”.
Today, Graeme is the Manager – Technical Services for Analytical Products & Services (ANPROS) Pty Ltd, located in Boronia, Victoria.
